Now Polygon traders can use the token PolyDoge for shopping and purchasing goods too. The famous crypto e-commerce site shopping.io has decided to accept PolyDoge as a way of trading items indirectly from popular e-sellers like Amazon, eBay, and Walmart.
The announcement was made by the firm via posting a tweet.
PolyDoge is the crypto token owned by Polygon crypto firm. It is a dApp made on the Polygon blockchain which allows its users to utilize different DeFi protocols along with a long list of interactive dealings with the help of NFTs. It is used by Polygon investors for investing or to wield other DeFi operations supported by the blockchain.
Although according to the statement given in the month of April by Andy Jassy, CEO, Amazon.com, Amazon is still not prepared enough to accept crypto assets as payments directly for its retail functionalities. Also, on the other hand, regardless of the fact that this mega e-commerce platform does not support the trading of digital property in exchange for retail services, Jassy feels that he expects that non-fungible tokens (NFTs) will subsequently grow in the future, therefore it can be wise to sell these cryptocurrencies on the firm’s e-commerce site.
Unlike Amazon, though, in May 2021 eBay, a leading e-retailer decided that the company is planning out solutions so as to how to indulge non-fungible tokens (NFTs) into the site and reflected that it is quite possible that that they might begin trading with cryptocurrencies, exchanging them as payment in time to come.
eBay, later allowed trading in NFTs for digital assets such as investments for cards, pictures, video snippets, etc., and became the first e-commerce firm to capitalize on NFTs.
