Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), a forerunner of the NFT craze, has collaborated with cryptocurrency exchange coinbase to bring these legendary NFTs to the silver screen. Coinbase will be producing a 3 part short animated film and feature the Bored Ape NFTs.
These films are expected to tie in with the long-awaited launch of the NFT marketplace on the crypto exchange. In addition, this product will allow the community to participate and help navigate the storyline of these films. The first 3 parts of the movies will premiere at NFT.NYC and titled “The Degen Trilogy.”
Coinbase’s entertainment team will oversee the movies. Bored Ape holders can submit their apes to be considered for roles in these short movies. The Degen Trilogy’s first installment will be shown at NFT.NYC on June 1. Users will require a Coinbase wallet to be able to watch the movies after the first release.
Coinbase eventually made this announcement today after weeks of hype. Also, BAYC has teased the community about something cooking behind the scene after the Apecoin airdrop to Bored Ape NFT holders.
BASIC is continuing to grab the limelight as many new ventures are using these themes. Recently BAYC themed restaurant opened in California, and it accepts the recently launched official BAYC cryptocurrency, Apecoin, for payment.
