The Sandbox has announced the launch of Alpha Season 4, set to begin on October 9 at 2 PM UTC. This new season will feature a 30-level battle pass system, allowing players to earn experience points (EP) and rewards.
Alpha Pass holders benefit significantly, potentially earning up to 13 times more SAND than non-holders. The total reward pool for this season is valued at $2.5 million, offering players a chance to engage with famous brands and characters in a vibrant metaverse.
Collaborations with major brands
Alpha Season 4 will include partnerships with 40 notable brands, enhancing the gaming experience for players. Collaborations feature well-known titles such as Attack on Titan, Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen, Lionsgate’s Hellboy (2019), and popular reality shows like Love Island and The Voice. These partnerships aim to create immersive experiences that blend gaming and mainstream media. Arthur Madrid, CEO and co-founder of The Sandbox, emphasized that this season showcases the metaverse’s potential by bringing together beloved brands and community-generated content.
Alpha hub and exclusive rewards
The season will commence in a dedicated social space known as Alpha Hub, where players can interact and complete various quests. Players can earn EP by participating in these quests and daily challenges, with additional opportunities for earning through friend referrals. A notable feature is the weekly Alpha Pass giveaway, where the top 500 players on the leaderboard will receive free passes. Alpha Pass holders gain access to premium quests, accumulating rewards more quickly than regular players.
In earnings, players can expect to receive up to 1,400 SAND, with current trading rates valuing SAND at approximately $0.26. This means that players could win up to $358 in rewards. The battle pass offers 25 SAND for regular players, while Alpha Pass holders can earn an additional 300 SAND. Landowners within the game can also benefit, earning up to 80 SAND based on community EP contributions.
Exclusive NFTs and special incentives
In addition to SAND rewards, players can win over 170 exclusive NFTs, including various wearables and equipment that enhance gameplay. Those pre-register for the season will receive a special golden helmet NFT, further incentivizing early engagement. The SAND rewards, NFTs, and exclusive quests make this season particularly appealing to new and returning players.
