Strike, a well-known crypto payments firm based in the US, has officially introduced its eagerly awaited services in Europe, as per a recent Wednesday announcement.
However, the services are not yet available in some European countries. Users in countries where the services are accessible can now engage in purchasing, selling, depositing, and withdrawing funds via the platform.
The firm has simplified the process for consumers to ascertain if the app is accessible in their area by checking the app stores on both iOS and Android platforms. Users who meet the criteria can purchase Bitcoin (BTC) using euro through SEPA deposits, a payment system initiated by the EU to enable euro transactions throughout the region. Strike has announced that recipients can choose to receive the asset’s value in either BTC, euros, or USDT, Tether’s stablecoin, in certain areas. As a cryptocurrency payment application developed on the Bitcoin blockchain, Strike offers the opportunity to buy the top cryptocurrency in the market at relatively low costs.
Launched in the US in 2020, the organization has broadened its reach to include Africa and now Europe, serving a wide customer base beyond just the American clientele. Strike views Europe as a key area for Bitcoin’s growth potential. The company stated, “Being the third-largest economy worldwide with over 440 million people, Europe offers enormous potential for the adoption of Bitcoin. As the foremost Bitcoin-only app, we are confident that Strike is well-placed to fulfill the Bitcoin access needs of millions in Europe.”
Extensive Product Selection for Customers in Europe
Strike announced its expansion into the European market with a full suite of products, not just restricted to cryptocurrency transactions. Eligible consumers will gain access to Strike’s Bitcoin and Lightning wallets, can set up regular purchases, and have the freedom to transfer funds internationally to supported African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, and Benin. Additionally, the service allows for money transfers to other areas such as the Philippines, Mexico, and Vietnam. Users will also enjoy features like peer-to-peer (P2P) trading and complimentary on-chain withdrawals. Strike mentioned that its European application is open to businesses seeking comprehensive cryptocurrency solutions. Both individual users and businesses will have access to identical offerings. The American payment application is set to offer its Strike API to customers in qualifying nations to facilitate transaction automation on the platform.
Strike has expanded its services across 100 countries globally and is dedicated to further exploring new markets and including more currencies. “We will continue to enter new markets, support more currencies, add payment methods, expand our services, and iterate on the experience, ” Strike revealed.
