The Pokémon TCG Pocket developers have agreed to make significant changes to the games trading feature following users’ complaints about it. The developers mentioned that they will put the issue in mind as they try to resolve issues created by the January 29 update.
According to an update shared on X, the developers mentioned that Creatures Inc. and DeNa are actively looking for ways to make the needed trading feature changes. The developers noted that the trade token was designed to get rid of bots and multiple accounts when the system was first created. However, they revealed that the backlash showed that the features already diminished the fun aspect of the game
Pokémon TCG Pocket to include ways to obtain trade tokens
The players were excited about the prospect of trading in the game, but their excitement was cut short when they discovered operational issues. The trading expenses were very high, limiting players from making exchanges. The requirements included players to be friends in the game and barred them from trading all their cards. Other restrictions also led players to look for other options to obtain cards.
The developers have promised to solve the issues by creating new trade token acquisition methods. The announcement also said that there will be other enhancements in the game. The players lauded the actions of the developers, with most of them highlighting that the developers need to maintain an open communication approach. They also called for the removal of trade timers, and the creation of abilities to trade outside friend lists.
