Fox News’ My View earmarked an entire episode to discuss Bitcoin on Sunday night. The discussion centered around the future of digital assets, with personalities like Strategy chairman Michael Saylor, President Donald Trump, White House crypto Czar David Sacks, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
Michael Saylor, in the latest Fox News episode, shared his Bitcoin story, noting how he stumbled on the assets and how it changed his company’s fate. “On Sunday night, Fox News’ hit show My View with Lara Lea Trump was devoted to Bitcoin and digital assets, using the words of Donald Trump, Crypto Czar David Sacks, Treasury Sec Scott Bessent, and yours truly to educate its mainstream audience on the power and promise of this new technology,” Saylor posted later that night.
Fox News’ My View discusses Bitcoin’s vision and economic policies
The episode started with discussions surrounding the economy and the wreck that it has been over the last four years, talking about inflations, federal spending, and rising debt. The author, Lara Lea Trump, blamed the issues on the previous administration, noting that they increased federal spending by $300 billion in the last three months. With the national debt now standing at $36 trillion, high interest rates are squeezing businesses and taxpayers.
Donald Trump was the next speaker, saying, “We are going to take in hundreds of billions of dollars… become so rich you won’t know where to spend that money.” He promised a Bitcoin-friendly future, calling it “America’s next big industry”.
The show also noted that about 10,000 manufacturing jobs have been added in February, with the government successfully cutting about $115 billion in wasteful spending. Trump mentioned that it was just the beginning. “Last year, I promised to make America the Bitcoin superpower of the world,” he said, doubling down on plans to integrate Bitcoin into the national economy.
Viewers were allowed to call in for questions. A caller from India, Stefan, asked, “What are your hopes for crypto under a second Trump administration?” Lara responded, “My hopes are likely the same as yours—for American prosperity to thrive once again.” She reinforced Trump’s vision, saying America must lead in Bitcoin innovation.
Michael Saylor gave the audience a Bitcoin reality check, as he explained in the snippet why it’s the strongest financial asset on the planet and why governments need to take it seriously. “We realized the dollar was inflating, and cash was losing value. Bitcoin is the only asset that holds purchasing power long-term,” Saylor said.
Lara sent a team to New York to interview people about their thoughts on crypto. While some were skeptical, others were hopeful. “I don’t understand Bitcoin, but I know one thing—banks aren’t my friend. If Bitcoin gives me freedom, I’ll take it,” one man said. Another said, “I bought crypto years ago, and I’m holding. In ten or twenty years, we’ll see where it goes.”
