Activision has announced the release of Tommy Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 remaster, which is set to be released on July 11. The game will be available for players on PlayStations 4,5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Series X, and PC.
Before the release of the trailer on Tuesday, the game was already available on the Infocommunications Media Development Authority database, letting the public in on the secret. While the previous remasters of THPS 1 and 2 were made by Vicarious Visions, the latest Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 will be developed by Studio Iron Galaxy.
The trailer shows that the game will be enhanced, with a disclaimer noting that it is not the actual gameplay. The game will be open for multiplayer, with new parks and new skaters available in online sessions. Some of the new skaters include Rayssa Leal, Chloe Covell, Jamie Foy, Zion Wright, Nyjah Huston, and Yuto Horigome. The game will also include classic levels from the THPS series, including Foundry, Airport, Canada, San Francisco, and Tokyo. It will also include Los Angeles, with the city’s popular Oceanwide Plaza.
Classic skaters like Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, Rodney Mullen, Rune Glifberg, and Bob Burnquist. However, Skater Bam Margera is not included in the remastered versions of 3 and 4.
Activision to include Doom characters in the features
According to reports, the deluxe version of the game will include a feature of Doom Slayer and Revenant from the Doom franchise created by the id software, featuring in-game music as a bonus. Some of the soundtrack in the upcoming game include, “Amoeba” by Adolescents, “Mass Appeal” by Gang Starr, “Outta Here” by KRS-One, “Ace of Spades” by Motorhead, “Not the Same” by Bodyjar, and “96 Quite Bitter Beings” by CKY.
Toney Hawk had initially voiced out his doubts about the possibility of the creation after Vicarious Visions merged with Blizzard Entertainment, which meant that Activision could go through all their stuff. The development also involved Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. However, during a recent interview, he talked about the creation of something exciting that would be appreciated by the Pro Skater fans.
Activision is hyping up pre-orders for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 by giving demo access in June on all platforms, excluding Switch. Moreover, upon pre-ordering, players will get access to the “Wireframe Tony” shader at launch. On the other hand, pre-ordering Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Editions gives early access to the full game on July 8, three days before the official launch.
