The cryptocurrency payments firm based in Atlanta, Bitpay announced that the Israeli software firm Wix has made it possible for the company’s Software as a service (SaaS) eCommerce product to accept payments made via crypto-assets. The integration will enable Wix sellers to take payment from 12 cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, dogecoin, bitcoin cash, ethereum, bitcoin, as well as stablecoins, litecoin and ethereum in addition.
In 2006, Wix was founded by Israeli developers of Software Nadav Abrahami Avishai Abrahami and Giora Kaplan. International SaaS platform Wix gives users the ability to create desktop and HTML5 websites without the need for coding. On the 12th of October, Wix made it clear that the company will implement Bitpay’s cryptocurrency payments processing system, allowing users to select it as a payment option for the Wix eCommerce platform.
Alongside five stablecoins like BUSD, DAI, GUSD, USDP, and USDC, Wix Merchant users can accept bitcoin (BTC) as well as bitcoin cash (BCH) and dogecoin (DOGE) as well as Ethereum (ETH), including the cryptocurrency litecoin (LTC) and wrap bitcoin (WBTC) and XRP (in certain countries). Statistics show that Wix generates about $1 billion of revenue through its products, including web design and development, as well as business administration as well as web hosting.
“Wix is one of the largest and most widely used web development platforms with over 210 million users, so this is another step forward in moving cryptocurrency mainstream,” said Stephen Pair, Bitpay’s CEO, in an announcement. “Businesses can get to market quickly and capture incremental sales by tapping into the massive trillion-dollar cryptocurrency marketplace,” Pair said.
Bitpay is making a variety of changes in the market over the past year. These include prominent companies like Universal Air Travel Plan (UATP) and the popular youth clothing and retail label Pacsun, Shop.com, Dr Luke’s company for music Prescription Songs. The luxurious hotel chain The Kessler Collection, Verifone and the pet-related platform Wag and the virtual cloud-based desktop startup Shells and the high-end fashion retailer Jomashop and the market leader of collectable car, vintage and antique motorcycles, as well as the sale of art on the road Mecum Auctions.

In accordance with the announcement, during the initial phase of the Wix launch, Wix merchants and their customers will be able to utilize the Bitpay service across the U.S., U.K., Germany, Canada, Australia as well as Brazil.
