Elfin Metaverse, a project backed by popular exchange Binance, plans to debut a Japanese gaming brand in the Web3 gaming industry. In a partnership with MetaMe, the company will use several IPs from Japanese anime.
The company has already signed a letter of co-creation with the Japanese company MetaMe. The partnership will provide Elfin Metaverse with the materials it needs, including images and branding from top Japanese games. The interactive game will provide a storytelling base, providing competitions for players across the globe.
Elfin Metaverse to draw Japanese users to the Web3 sector
Elfin Metaverse is looking at inviting users from the Web2 ecosystem, bringing users to the Web3 sector by using Japanese IP. The company currently creates idle games, using established mobile models. Some of its products include Panda Dash, Elfin Turtle World, and Flappy Hero. The new line of games will emerge from companies like Line, with Elfin Metaverse lowering the barrier to allow them into the sector.
The company will also be looking at recreating the boom it witnessed in 2021, the period that the Metaverse peaked with about 190k daily users. While the transactions have fallen to about 3,000 daily users, most of them are from BNB Chain. Elfin recently released its Q1 2025 roadmap, with a vision of kick-starting growth after a period of decline in the Web3 sector. The platform wants to focus on its ELFIN token, with its attention also on the utility of its NFT.
The partnership with MetaMe will also enable the company to release more casual games, with its focus on leading IPs. It has also earmarked extending existing fandom from Web2 to its goals in its roadmap. The platform is also looking at the creation of a racing game, with the game currently being tested by developers. In addition, it is working on a final art and the vision of a complex MMO game.
