XRP is showing signs of recovery as a sharp increase in XRP Ledger (XRPL) transaction volume draws market attention.

Analysts believe rising on-chain activity could signal a market bottom following recent cryptocurrency losses.

Meanwhile, XRP continues to defend a crucial support level as traders assess its next potential move. Growing adoption of tokenized real-world assets on XRPL has also strengthened interest in the network’s outlook.

XRP transaction volume jumps 6,000% as analysts identify market bottom

According to Santiment data, XRP transaction volume surged approximately 6,000%, reaching $49.66 billion. The increase followed several days when daily transaction volume averaged roughly $800 million.

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez linked the spike in XRPL transaction volume to a potential price recovery. He suggested that XRP may have established a market bottom after holding support near $1.25.

Martinez declared on X that “the bottom is in,” pointing to increased on-chain activity around critical price levels.

His analysis identified $1.56 as the next important resistance level. According to Martinez, sustained closes above that threshold could open the door toward $2.

However, losing the $1.25 support level could expose XRP to further declines toward $1.10.

XRP price chart analysis. Source Ali Charts X

The outlook follows broader cryptocurrency market weakness driven by persistent US inflation and recent market corrections. These pressures have contributed to XRP price volatility as investors reassess market conditions.

Analysts forecast XRP recovery toward $2 and higher price targets

Crypto analyst Vincent Van Code expressed a more bullish outlook, suggesting recent market turbulence could eliminate weaker positions.

He predicted that cryptocurrencies could establish fresh all-time highs over the coming weeks, followed by a gradual bull market.

Meanwhile, EGRAG CRYPTO projected a potential XRP rally toward 1.80–2.00 within the next one to two months.

The analyst also anticipated a subsequent correction toward $1.50 before another upward movement.

Looking further ahead, EGRAG identified 7–9 as a potential cycle-top range, avoiding more aggressive price predictions circulating among traders.

However, these forecasts depend on XRP maintaining key support levels and attracting sustained buying interest.

XRPL attracts $1.9 billion in RWA inflows as tokenization expands

Beyond XRP price predictions, XRPL continues gaining traction in tokenized real-world assets.

According to RWA.xyz, XRPL attracted $1.9 billion in net inflows over six months, ranking second among tracked blockchains.

BNB Chain led with $2.2 billion, followed by Solana at $1.6 billion and Stellar at $1.5 billion.

Avalanche recorded $637 million, while Base attracted $210 million. Monad and Robinhood registered $200 million and $199 million, respectively.

These figures exclude stablecoin movements.

Including stablecoins changes the rankings. TRON leads with $7.8 billion, followed by HyperEVM at $5 billion and Solana at $2.6 billion. XRPL ranks fourth with $2.5 billion.

Meanwhile, XRPL’s distributed RWA value increased from $518 million at the year’s beginning to $2.25 billion by March. That represented 124% quarterly growth.

By May, tokenized assets reached $3.53 billion, pushing the ecosystem’s combined value, including stablecoins, above $5.37 billion.

Tokenization enables financial instruments, including funds and debt securities, to operate on blockchain networks while supporting faster settlement and broader access.

However, regulatory clarity, liquidity, and institutional demand remain essential for continued adoption.

Although growing RWA activity strengthens XRPL’s position in digital finance, it does not guarantee XRP price gains. Future demand will depend on network usage and XRP’s role in supporting transactions.

The post XRP price targets $2 as XRPL transaction volume skyrockets 6,000% first appeared on Coinfea.

XRP has secured a prominent position in Grayscale’s newly launched model portfolios for financial advisors.

The asset receives greater exposure when Bitcoin remains outside the portfolio mix. Grayscale designed the models to simplify digital asset allocation while leaving investment decisions with advisors. XRP also ranks among the three largest holdings across Grayscale’s two flagship strategies.

Grayscale Investments launched four crypto model portfolios on September 14, according to a company announcement. The suite includes Core Plus, Leaders, Next Gen, and Infrastructure strategies.

Grayscale markets the products as pre-built allocations covering asset selection, diversification, sizing, and rebalancing. Financial platforms receive the models before making them available to advisors.

Laurie Katz, Grayscale’s Global Head of Distribution, said advisors increasingly want simpler ways to introduce digital assets. She said many advisors prefer avoiding the work required to maintain individual asset allocations.

Each strategy follows market-cap weighting and receives quarterly rebalancing. Grayscale also limits any single eligible asset to 40% of each portfolio.

Advisors retain full discretion over whether they use the portfolios and their suggested allocations.

XRP weight climbs sharply without Bitcoin

Grayscale’s Next Gen model excludes Bitcoin, pushing the Grayscale XRP Trust ETF higher within the portfolio. Grayscale’s August 31 allocation sheet assigns GXRP a 26.11% target weight.

That allocation places XRP second behind the Grayscale Ethereum Staking Mini ETF. Ether carries a 42.34% allocation in the model.

The Grayscale Solana Staking ETF follows at 21.09%. Hyperliquid Staking ETF accounts for 5.76%, while Chainlink Trust ETF receives 2.66%.

Avalanche Staking ETF holds a 1.08% allocation, while Sui Staking ETF receives 0.96%. Grayscale allows the Next Gen strategy to hold up to 10 eligible assets.

XRP represents the portfolio’s entire “Currencies” category, giving that segment a 26.11% weighting. Smart-contract platforms account for 65.47% of the allocation.

The Digital Assets Next Gen fact sheet shows GXRP at 26.11%. Source: Grayscale.

Grayscale reported a 30.69% return for the Next Gen model since inception. The firm has not yet provided longer-term performance figures.

XRP remains third when Bitcoin returns

XRP receives a smaller allocation in Grayscale’s Digital Assets Leaders model because Bitcoin returns to the investment mix. GXRP holds an 11.92% target weight in that strategy.

Ether leads the Leaders portfolio with 38.57%, followed by Bitcoin at 37.25%. Solana represents 9.63%, while Hyperliquid accounts for 2.63%.

Bitcoin and Ether therefore control more than three-quarters of the Leaders allocation. That structure leaves a smaller portion available for XRP and other assets.

Without Bitcoin, XRP’s portfolio share more than doubles compared with its Leaders allocation.

Grayscale launched the models as regulated XRP investment products, continuing to attract capital. XRP ETFs recorded $12.29 million in inflows during one early-September session.

Bitcoin ETFs recorded $120.24 million in outflows during the same period. Grayscale’s GXRP contributed $2.98 million to the XRP ETF inflow total.

XRP funds have also attracted capital during previous Bitcoin declines. The first US spot XRP ETF began Nasdaq trading in November 2025.

That product attracted $243 million during its first trading day, while Bitcoin fell below $100,000.

Grayscale’s model portfolio suite now creates another channel for advisors seeking XRP exposure through regulated investment products. Advisors can gain price exposure without directly holding XRP.

XRP traded around $1.30, according to CoinGecko data supplied for the report. The token had fallen 7.8% over 24 hours but remained 30% higher over 30 days.

The post XRP claims a 26.11% weight in Grayscale’s new Bitcoin-free crypto model first appeared on Coinfea.

XRP whale accumulation continued in 2026 even as the token recorded a 43% price decline. Santiment data shows wallets holding between 10 million and 100 million XRP added 1.23 billion tokens since January.

The group held 10.97 billion XRP in January and 12.2 billion currently. Buying was irregular, though accumulation began before 2026. In November 2025, these wallets increased their holdings by 2.4 billion XRP.

XRP Whale Holdings Reached July Peak

Large holders slowed purchases in December and stayed quiet for several months. Accumulation gradually resumed in March 2026 and continued into the summer.

The balance peaked at 12.27 billion XRP on July 8 before easing to 12.2 billion. At current prices, the accumulated tokens are worth about $1.279 billion. At XRP’s previous record high of $3.66, the same amount would have been valued near $4.5 billion.

Exchange activity also showed fewer large transfers during July. On-chain analyst Darkfost reported that whale transfers to Binance fell to 25.3 million XRP by mid-July, the lowest level since January 2025. At their peak, such transfers reached 583 million XRP, worth about $1.36 billion.

Darkfost said, “This marks an essential first stage, the exhaustion of the largest XRP sellers on Binance, while price consolidates around $1 since June. This offers some relief for the price, which will now need a return of genuinely sustained demand to trigger a durable bullish move.”

XRP Whale Groups Show Mixed Positioning

The number of addresses holding 10 million to 100 million XRP also increased during 2026. The group started January with 301 addresses, fell to 285 in February, then climbed to 322 in early July. The figure slipped to 313, remaining below the all-time high of 351.

Other whale groups differed. Wallets holding 100 million to 1 billion XRP reduced their combined balance from 8.43 billion to 8.13 billion XRP, distributing about 300 million tokens.

Meanwhile, wallets holding 1 million to 10 million XRP increased their balance by 260 million tokens to 3.83 billion XRP. The 100,000 to 1 million XRP group reduced holdings from 6.43 billion to 6.37 billion, a decline of about 60 million XRP.

XRP Price Remains Under Pressure

The accumulation indicates that some large XRP holders increased exposure despite weak price performance. However, whale buying alone has not produced an immediate recovery, while supply changes across holder groups remain mixed.

XRP currently trades above $1 after falling about 6% over the past month. The token is also up 10% against other leading altcoins. Ethereum has gained 10%, while BNB is up 5%. Some analysts still expect XRP could fall another 35% in the coming months, which would take the token below $1.

The post XRP Whale Accumulation Rises as Large Holders Add 1.23 Billion Tokens first appeared on Coinfea.

Ripple invests in ZILO and Licuido as the blockchain payments company expands its capital markets infrastructure on the XRP Ledger.

The company announced on Monday that it had made strategic investments in the two UK-based firms. Ripple did not disclose the financial terms of either transaction. However, it said the deals extend existing partnerships with both companies and support its broader capital markets strategy.

Deepening our push into capital markets, we are investing in ZILO and Licuido to add regulated transfer agency, issuance and collateral mobility to our capital markets infrastructure built on the XRPL. This comes on the heels of Aviva Investors tokenising its US Dollar Liquidity…
— Ripple (@Ripple) August 3, 2026

ZILO develops transfer agency and fund administration technology designed to support tokenized assets. Licuido provides infrastructure for issuing, distributing, and executing traditional financial assets as digital collateral.

Ripple Targets Regulated Tokenization Infrastructure

Ripple said the investments will combine the firms’ capabilities with XRPL infrastructure. Together, the two investments connect ledger capabilities with regulated services needed to manage tokenized financial products efficiently. The arrangement is intended to bring regulated transfer agency services, asset issuance, and collateral mobility to capital markets operating on the network.

The announcement builds on a strategy Ripple has developed publicly over recent months. In February, Ripple partnered with Aviva Investors to tokenize fund structures on XRPL. Aviva Investors managed $345 billion in net assets as of 2025.

Nigel Khakoo, Ripple’s senior vice president for trading and markets, said tokenization delivers greater value when digital assets can move across several financial activities.

“ZILO and Licuido provide core capabilities that are essential to further scaling this shift: regulated digital transfer agency infrastructure and liquidity for issuance and collateral mobility,” Khakoo said.

XRPL Upgrade Supports Institutional Finance

Ripple has continued expanding its tokenization activities while preparing XRPL for wider institutional use. The network is approaching another major software upgrade focused on tokenization and institutional finance features.

The xrpld 3.3.0 upgrade is expected to be released next week. Ripple said the planned changes form part of efforts to strengthen the network’s role in regulated financial markets.

The investments in ZILO and Licuido add operational services around the ledger. ZILO contributes transfer agency and fund administration systems, while Licuido supports asset issuance, distribution, execution, and collateral movement.

Ripple Joins UK Tokenization Task Force

Ripple is also among 54 companies participating in a UK government task force focused on expanding tokenization across wholesale financial markets.

The participating firms are expected to develop live, end-to-end market use cases. Their work will begin with tokenized repurchase agreements over the next 12 months.

Other task force members include Circle, Coinbase, BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, and Morgan Stanley. The group brings together digital asset companies, investment managers, and major financial institutions.

XRP Ledger is preparing for the xrpld 3.3.0 release, which proposes five amendments focused on tokenization, institutional finance, and real-world asset adoption.

RippleX Head of Product Jazzi Cooper disclosed the features on X. She said XRPL has already shown that it can support tokenized assets at scale and is now expanding toward global transfers, trading, collateralization, and settlement.

The release is expected next week, although none of the amendments will activate automatically. Independent validators must approve each proposal through the network’s amendment voting process.

XRP Ledger Privacy and Settlement Tools

Confidential MPT introduces privacy controls for Multi-Purpose Tokens through elliptic-curve cryptography and zero-knowledge proofs. Token issuers and holders could keep balances and transaction amounts private while allowing authorized regulators or auditors to view the information when required.

The feature addresses concerns among financial institutions that public blockchains expose transaction data. It would allow tokenized assets to retain selective confidentiality while operating on XRP Ledger infrastructure.

Batch would allow multiple transactions involving different accounts to be grouped into one atomic operation. Every transaction in the group would either complete together or fail together.

This structure supports financial workflows, including delivery-versus-payment settlements. It can reduce settlement risk by ensuring that linked asset transfers and payments occur as a single coordinated process.

Delegated Permissions Ease Institutional Control

Permission Delegation would allow organizations to grant narrowly defined transaction permissions without surrendering control of their main signing keys. Treasury teams and financial institutions could authorize routine actions while protecting critical issuance and reserve accounts.

Sponsored Fees and Reserves would allow banks, token issuers, or platforms to cover XRP transaction fees and reserve requirements for users. New users could access XRPL applications without first purchasing XRP for onboarding or transaction costs.

Users would still control their wallets and private keys. The proposal targets a longstanding usability barrier while preserving direct account ownership.

Dynamic MPT would give issuers flexibility after a token is created. Selected properties, including transfer fees, token metadata, and other predefined features, could be updated without issuing a replacement token.

Validator Approval Determines Activation

Cooper said, “The release is currently anticipated for next week. As always, these amendments will only activate following validator approval.” She also encouraged validator operators to review the proposals as they become available.

The planned release follows the activation of fixCleanup3.2.0, which delivered bug fixes covering vaults, lending, permissioned domains, Multi-Purpose Tokens, and the permissioned decentralized exchange.

More than 80% of validators supported that amendment before activation. Under XRPL governance rules, each amendment must maintain at least 80% approval from trusted validators for two consecutive weeks before it becomes active.

The process ensures that validators, rather than Ripple, decide whether the proposed features become part of the XRP Ledger protocol.

The post XRP Ledger v3.3.0 Upgrade Adds Five Institutional Finance Features first appeared on Coinfea.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has said in an interview that the company discussed closing after the US Securities and Exchange Commission sued it in 2020. Garlinghouse mentioned that Ripple could have divided its XRP supply among shareholders, declared that it held no tokens, and ended the dispute, but they decided not to because hundreds of employees would’ve been out of jobs.

Instead, Ripple spent the next four years in court and about $150 million on lawyers. Its US business stalled for about five years, as the SEC also targeted Brad over XRP he sold. Regulators offered to drop his case for a fine while continuing against Ripple, but Garlinghouse refused. He noted that XRP transactions usually settle in about four seconds and cost a fraction of one cent. Ripple sells software to banks and financial institutions, not individual users. Garlinghouse also compared XRP with Bitcoin, noting that one BTC transaction can cost around $10 and take about 10 minutes.

Ripple CEO rips into Gary Gensler-led SEC

In the interview, the Ripple CEO also mentioned that XRP serves another purpose. It handles payments faster, charges less, and supports more activity. Ripple uses the open-source XRP Ledger in its products. Asked why the SEC (specifically under Gary Gensler and Joe Biden) was angry, he joked, “They’re jerks.” He said the issue was applying old financial laws to new technology. Garlinghouse entered the internet industry in 1994, pointing to rules passed in 1996, with help from Al Gore.

He mentioned that the rules gave internet companies and investors clearer legal boundaries. According to Brad, the crypto companies had been asking for similar laws since most members of the industry were ready to comply but required clear limits. The SEC insisted that XRP was a security and not a currency or commodity. Brad noted that a security tends to give its holder rights within the business entity. XRP buyers received no Ripple shares, votes, board powers, or dividends. Ripple remains private. It raised venture capital in 2012, 2015, and 2016 by selling actual equity.

Garlinghouse also compared that equity with owning Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) stock. Ripple owns substantial XRP, but Brad said it cannot command the network because the code is open source. He placed XRP closer to Bitcoin than corporate equity. The SEC said Ripple sold unregistered securities. Brad said the matter was civil, not criminal, though the possible penalty was enormous. In his visits to the SEC office in 2017, 2018, and 2019, Garlinghouse did not have legal representation.

A Harvard Business School alumnus, he never treated XRP as a security but only explained the Ripple system to the SEC office personnel. “Not once did someone say to me, Brad, we think XRP might be a security,” he said. When the agency later sued both him and Ripple, Brad questioned whether its theory meant every XRP holder who sold tokens had also broken securities law.

He said the personal charge was meant to pressure him. Brad called the SEC’s conduct “distasteful” and “maybe unethical.” Ripple repeatedly asked for clear guidance, yet regulators gave none before suing. Ripple won after four years. Trump later appointed a new chair who adopted a different approach and engaged crypto companies directly during the final years of the fight.

The post Ripple CEO says SEC nearly forced the company to shut down first appeared on Coinfea.

SBI Shinsei Bank has announced a new program where its users will be awarded vouchers redeemable for cryptocurrency after they complete deposits. The move turns one of Japan’s largest banks into a possible crypto on-ramp for millions of customers, saving money with the bank starting June 10.

The program, first reported by Nikkei, offers vouchers worth 20% of the interest earned on specific eligible accounts. Customers can then redeem those vouchers for Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), or Ripple (XRP) through SBI VC Trade, the group’s licensed cryptocurrency exchange. According to the program’s details from SBI Shinsei, customers will keep their principal in yen in the bank and continue to collect standard interest on these savings. In addition, the bank will issue a voucher pegged to one-fifth of the interest payment.

SBI Shinsei Bank offers rewards to Japanese users

According to Yahoo Finance, the assets will be converted at the market price of the particular cryptocurrency being disbursed on the day interest is paid. The crypto exposure is small in actual terms, as SBI Shinsei’s top-tier Hyper Deposit rate sits around 0.42% annually. This means the voucher represents a fraction of a fraction, but the point of the program is primarily access rather than yield. However, participation requires a linked account at SBI VC Trade.

The bank plans to run an initial three-month pilot covering both ordinary and time deposits. Presently, a total of almost 4.33 million deposit accounts are eligible and could qualify for the program, with SBI Shinsei intending to make the service permanent if demand is justified. This program seems to be part of a wider strategy directed toward digital assets across SBI Holdings. The firm’s cryptocurrency exchange, SBI VC Trade, launched a retail USDC lending product in March.

The product is structured as a fixed-term loan to the exchange rather than a traditional bank deposit. In May, SBI also said it was exploring buying some shares in trading platform Bitbank, one month after SBI VC Trade acquired rival exchange Bitpoint Japan. SBI Holdings, a longstanding investor in Ripple through their joint venture SBI Ripple Asia, also has a history of distributing XRP as shareholder dividends and promotional bonuses, according to Ledger Insights.

In March, the group issued a digital bond aimed at retail investors that paid XRP tokens as a bonus through SBI VC Trade accounts. The group’s securities arm, SBI Securities, is also preparing crypto-focused investment trusts and ETFs tied to BTC and ETH. A subsidiary of SBI Shinsei Bank, Aplus, began issuing Visa cards in May that accumulate cryptocurrency rewards. SBI has also operated in the crypto mining business through SBI Crypto since 2017 and acquired institutional market maker B2C2 in 2020, offering the company infrastructure across trading and liquidity.

Japan regulates crypto under its Payment Services Act, with the Financial Services Agency licensing exchanges directly. This structure allows a bank to connect a directly affiliated exchange to its own deposits without breaching any banking laws. This framework is markedly different from the United States’ current setup, with the GENIUS Act, signed into law in July 2025, stopping stablecoin issuers from paying yield to their holders.

The post SBI Shinsei Bank to reward Japanese users with BTC, ETH, and XRP vouchers first appeared on Coinfea.

XRP Ledger 3.2.0 is moving closer to mainnet release as the network prepares a major software shift from rippled to xrpld.

The update marks a notable infrastructure step for validators, node operators, and service providers that support the ledger.

XRP Ledger Operations said the release will require system changes, while a technical guide is being prepared to support the current upgrade cycle and operator readiness.

Network Operators Prepare for Mandatory Upgrade

XRP Ledger Operations announced on June 4 that version 3.2.0 is coming soon, with the core server software now moving under the xrpld name. The change is designed to create a clearer reference implementation for users, validators, and infrastructure teams.

The upgrade follows the May 2026 activation of XRP Ledger version 3.1.3, which introduced fixes across NFTs, vaults, permissioned domains, and lending protocol components. That earlier release strengthened network reliability and set the stage for the broader 3.2.0 transition.

Validators, infrastructure providers, and node operators will need to update their systems before the migration reaches the XRPL mainnet. The operations team said the transition will require technical changes for infrastructure participants.

A detailed playbook is being developed to guide operators through the upgrade process. The guide is expected to help protect consensus participation and reduce disruption during the migration window.

CLI Update Confirms xrpld Naming Shift

The command line interface has already reflected the new software identity, showing xrpld version 3.2.0 during version checks. This confirms that the rebrand is being integrated into the network’s core software package.

The announcement drew support from dUNL validator Vet, who said protocol improvements remain important despite market weakness. He noted that market sentiment can change, while core infrastructure upgrades have lasting value for XRP and other assets on the ledger.

Vet also thanked XRP core developers for their continued work. His comments reflected broader community support for technical development during a difficult market period.

Version 3.1.3 reached mainnet activation at ledger index 104,507,137 on May 27. The release enabled the fixCleanup3_1_3 amendment and passed with full consensus approval.

XRP Price Weakens as Holders Accumulate

XRP has faced steady price pressure since July 2025, when it traded near $3.65. By early June 2026, the token had fallen toward the $1.18 range amid a wider crypto market selloff.

XRP closed May at $1.33, dropped to $1.29 on June 1, and fell to near $1.21 on June 2. By June 4, it had slipped further as market capitalization declined by more than $8 billion.

Even so, on-chain data points to stronger holder accumulation. More than 25 million XRP left exchanges during the period, while wallets holding at least 10,000 XRP reached a record 332,230 addresses.

The post XRP Ledger 3.2.0 Nears Launch as Core Software Becomes xrpld first appeared on Coinfea.

Belarus has announced the addition of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin to a list of approved underlying assets for non-deliverable instruments. The decision is expected to increase their integration into the country’s traditional financial system and create new investment opportunities.

According to reports, the country included cryptocurrencies among the underlying assets for transactions involving non-deliverable over-the-counter (OTC) financial instruments. It was done through a resolution issued by the Council of Ministers and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB), local media unveiled. The joint resolution, dated May 23 and published by the Pravo.by portal on Tuesday, enters into force on Wednesday, May 27.

Cryptocurrencies approved to serve as underlying assets in Belarus

According to the document quoted by the business news outlets Office Life and Myfin.by, the updated list now includes the following assets:

Futures contracts and options;

Interest rates on the international capital market;

Stock index values;

Digital tokens, including cryptocurrencies.

The non-deliverable OTC instruments are usually direct contracts between market players, without the participation of an exchange, that do not involve the actual delivery of the underlying assets. Instead, these products pay investors the change in the value of the asset they are based on over the predetermined period of the transaction. Positions are closed when these contracts expire, and the parties settle the difference in cash, the publications explained.

Reports that Belarus may recognize cryptocurrencies as underlying assets for them came out earlier this year. The move is expected to create more opportunities for crypto investment in Belarus, which is trying to integrate digital coins into its finances. In the past few years, Belarus has been taking a series of steps to expand the circulation of decentralized digital money in its economy. It became the first nation in the post-Soviet space to legalize crypto-related activities such as mining and trading almost a decade ago.

The country did that with a decree signed by President Alexander Lukashenko in 2017, which entered into effect in the spring of the following year. Entities registered as residents of the Hi-Tech Park (HTP) in Minsk, a hub for software and fintech business, were permitted to work with coins. In January 2026, another decree issued by the longtime Belarusian leader regulated the establishment of so-called “cryptobanks.”

The latter will be combining the features and functions of traditional banking institutions with those of cryptocurrency exchanges and service providers. To obtain a license, such entities must again be residents of the HTP and registered with the country’s monetary authority. In mid-May, the management of the IT cluster approved 26 cryptocurrencies that the new crypto banks will be allowed to operate with. The list includes the most popular and capitalized coins on the market, like Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), Ripple’s XRP, and Binance’s BNB token.

Other jurisdictions in the region have been trying to catch up with Belarus, including Russia, where lawmakers are currently reviewing a comprehensive regulatory framework. The Russian law “On Digital Currency and Digital Rights,” which is designed to legalize crypto transactions, including investment and trading, must be adopted by the summer. Companies and individuals from the two allied countries have been actively using cryptocurrencies and stablecoins to circumvent international sanctions imposed over Moscow’s war on Ukraine.

The post Belarus approves cryptocurrencies as underlying assets first appeared on Coinfea.

XRP entered the center of U.S. crypto discussions after President Donald Trump ordered a review of Federal Reserve payment access for digital asset firms.

The directive could reshape how crypto companies connect with the banking system and settle transactions. Market participants are closely watching the review because it may affect Ripple’s payment network and the future role of XRP in regulated financial transfers.

Federal review raises new questions for crypto firms

The executive order directs regulators to examine whether crypto companies should receive direct access to the Federal Reserve payment infrastructure. Companies including Ripple, Coinbase, and Circle could eventually gain access to services that traditional banks currently dominate.

Trump’s latest fintech executive order could be the massive catalyst $XRP has been waiting for.

By directing the Fed to review giving crypto firms direct access to US payment rails, the administration is opening the door for players like @Ripple to bypass legacy banking… pic.twitter.com/nvB3aao1vI
— 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸XRP (@BankXRP) May 25, 2026

For years, digital asset firms depended on intermediary banks to process payments and settlements. That structure often increased operational costs and slowed transaction processing for firms operating in the crypto sector.

The review may reduce those barriers if regulators approve broader participation in the payment system. Banking organizations, however, continue raising concerns regarding oversight, financial stability, and operational risk tied to expanded access.

The policy discussion follows earlier developments involving Kraken, whose banking division secured limited payment access through a specialized charter arrangement. That move increased discussions surrounding how crypto businesses may participate within the national banking framework.

Ripple could reduce dependence on intermediary banks

Ripple has long promoted XRP as a settlement asset for cross-border transfers and institutional payments. The company designed its network to lower transaction costs and improve settlement speed for global financial activity.

If Ripple receives direct Federal Reserve access, the company could reduce reliance on correspondent banking networks. Financial institutions using Ripple services may complete transfers with fewer intermediaries and lower expenses.

The proposed changes may also strengthen liquidity movement across the XRP payment ecosystem. Faster settlement times and direct payment connectivity could improve institutional adoption if regulators approve the framework.

Supporters argue that direct access may help modernize payment systems and improve efficiency across digital finance operations. Critics maintain that expanding central bank access beyond traditional institutions could create additional regulatory and financial risks.

CLARITY Act advances through Senate committee

Trump’s executive order arrived as lawmakers continued debating broader crypto legislation in Washington. The Senate Banking Committee recently advanced the CLARITY Act through a 15 to 9 vote with bipartisan support.

The legislation seeks to define how digital assets are classified under U.S. law and determine which agencies oversee the crypto market. Lawmakers have spent months negotiating issues connected to stablecoin oversight and market regulation.

The committee vote restarted discussions that had stalled earlier this year and renewed focus on the future structure of digital asset regulation in the United States financial policy.

The post XRP Gains Attention After Trump Order Targets Fed Payment Access first appeared on Coinfea.
