Meme token activity has returned to Solana, strengthening the network’s position in decentralized trading and application revenues.

Renewed interest in speculative tokens has increased trading volumes, token launches, and user participation across major platforms.

Solana continues to attract trading activity as applications benefit from stronger demand and improving market sentiment. Meanwhile, Pump.fun has recorded higher activity, supporting the broader recovery in Solana’s meme token ecosystem.

Solana dominates meme token trading with over 91% market share

Solana accounts for more than 91% of meme token spot trading across major decentralized exchanges (DEXs). The network has maintained strong liquidity, allowing traders to access newly launched tokens and established meme assets.

Solana’s dominance follows a temporary slowdown in August, when Robinhood-linked launchpads gained attention. However, Robinhood’s share of meme token trading has since declined to approximately 5%, leaving Solana firmly ahead.

The network has also increased transaction capacity, supporting faster trading across meme tokens and other digital assets. Meanwhile, Solana continues expanding its presence in tokenized stocks and stablecoin markets.

Trading applications on Solana now hold nearly $1 billion in locked value and generate up to $1.5 million daily. This activity reflects continued demand for spot markets, particularly assets without established perpetual futures markets.

Network participation has also increased alongside the recovery. Daily active address figures reportedly doubled during the previous quarter, reaching more than 50 million in October.

According to quarterly revenue figures, Solana maintained its leadership in application revenues for the tenth consecutive quarter. Its applications generated more than $362 million during Q3, compared with $253 million in Q2.

The increase marked Solana’s first quarter-on-quarter application revenue growth in 2026. Daily application revenues also exceeded $3 million, more than twice Hyperliquid’s reported levels and ahead of Ethereum.

Token Terminal data identified Jupiter and Jito among the fastest-growing applications over the previous 30 days. Meanwhile, SOL climbed to $111.47, representing a 47.9% increase over three months.

Solana app revenues reflected the renewed interest in DEX trading, boosting apps like Jupiter and the Jito block builder. | Source: TokenTerminal

Trading activity strengthened during August and September, ending several months of limited price movement.

Pump.fun token launches and trading volumes drive Solana revenue growth

Pump.fun has emerged as a major contributor to Solana’s renewed meme token activity following months of weaker demand. The launchpad recorded daily trading volumes exceeding $160 million across several sessions in October.

Activity accelerated as reflection tokens, a category of asset-backed meme tokens, attracted growing attention. Daily launches regularly exceeded 35,000 tokens, while creator participation approached 20,000 addresses.

Solana led meme token activity, with peak results on days with significant hype. More creators are deploying tokens on Pump.fun, leading to a rise in trading activity. | Source: Dune Analytics

Pump.fun generated $91.48 million in Q3 earnings, reversing the platform’s earlier quarterly revenue decline. The recovery followed weaker earnings throughout 2026 as meme token trading cooled.

The platform also distributed more than $31 million through creator fees and cashback incentives. These payments supported participation while Pump.fun retained a substantial portion of its revenues.

October’s stronger trading activity suggests renewed interest in meme tokens could support Solana’s application revenues during Q4. However, sustained growth will depend on trading demand, token launches, and continued network participation.

The post Meme token activity returns to Solana as DEX trading surges first appeared on Coinfea.

Samsung is expanding its digital payment services through a partnership with Solana that will bring stablecoin transfers to Galaxy smartphones.

The integration will allow users to send money internationally without opening separate cryptocurrency accounts.

It also brings blockchain settlement into an established mobile payment platform. The move reflects growing interest in using stablecoins for everyday financial transactions.

Samsung and the Solana Foundation announced the partnership on October 7, targeting 82 million Galaxy devices across the United States. The companies plan to introduce USDC transfers during the final week of October 2026.

BREAKING: Samsung partners with Solana to bring stablecoins to 82 million US Galaxy devices.

Samsung Wallet users in the US will be able to send money across borders using USDC on Solana, beginning the last week of October. pic.twitter.com/r5KSR92V58
— Solana (@solana) October 8, 2026

The service will operate through Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay, allowing eligible users to transfer funds internationally. Samsung plans to expand availability into additional markets as local regulations permit.

Users will not need cryptocurrency exchanges or separate blockchain applications. Instead, Samsung will integrate currency conversion directly into its existing payment services.

The system will support fiat on-ramps and off-ramps, allowing recipients to receive funds in local currencies. Meanwhile, Solana will handle blockchain settlement behind the scenes.

Samsung integrates USDC transfers into Galaxy wallet services

Samsung aims to simplify access to stablecoins by removing technical requirements associated with cryptocurrency transactions. Traditional transfers often require users to register with exchanges, manage digital wallets, or convert funds independently.

The new service will bring these processes into Samsung’s existing financial applications. Galaxy owners with updated Wallet applications will gain access as Samsung launches the feature.

Woncheol Chai, executive vice president of Samsung’s Mobile eXperience business, said the integration would simplify stablecoin access for Galaxy users.

He explained that customers should access digital currencies without navigating traditional cryptocurrency tools.

Solana Foundation President Lily Liu also described the partnership as a turning point for stablecoin adoption. She said the integration could make stablecoins an ordinary payment method rather than a specialized cryptocurrency product.

The announcement follows Samsung’s earlier presentation at its Galaxy Unpacked event in London. During the event, Samsung demonstrated a Wallet interface displaying a USDC balance.

However, the company did not identify the blockchain, stablecoin issuer, or expected launch date.

The newsletter subsequently highlighted how Samsung’s issuer selection could indicate its regulatory approach.

Samsung previously partnered with Coinbase in 2025 to introduce cryptocurrency access through Samsung Wallet for millions of American Galaxy users.

The latest integration also advances Samsung’s payment offerings alongside competing services from Apple Pay and Google Wallet.

Solana expands payment partnerships as Samsung targets remittances

Samsung will initially focus on cross-border remittances, where transaction costs remain a challenge for international payments.

According to World Bank data cited in the announcement, sending $200 internationally costs an average of 6.36%. That exceeds the United Nations’ 3% target.

Samsung has not disclosed transaction fees for its upcoming USDC service. Those charges will determine how its offering compares with traditional remittance providers.

Meanwhile, Solana continues expanding its payment network through partnerships with established financial companies.

The blockchain already supports payment initiatives involving PayPal and Western Union. Samsung now joins that network as a major consumer electronics manufacturer.

According to the Solana Foundation, stablecoin supply across its blockchain has increased nearly 20% year over year.

The foundation also reported that Solana processed more than $5.25 trillion in stablecoin transaction volume during 2026.

Samsung’s upcoming rollout will introduce another consumer-facing channel for blockchain payments across the United States.

The post Samsung to launch Solana USDC transfers for 82 million US Galaxy users first appeared on Coinfea.

The Solana Foundation has launched a new settlement program designed for banks and large financial institutions using blockchain-based markets.

The system aims to reduce settlement times while limiting risks between trading counterparties. JPMorgan contributed expertise on established settlement practices but did not develop the program. The launch also expands Solana’s push into institutional finance and tokenized assets.

The Swiss nonprofit introduced the system as Solana DvP, short for Delivery versus Payment. It lets institutions settle both sides of a transaction through one on-chain process.

Traditional securities settlement can take one or two days to complete. Trades often pass through clearinghouses, custodians, and depositories before both parties receive their assets.

That delay can create counterparty risk if one side completes its obligation while the other fails. Solana DvP seeks to reduce that exposure through atomic settlement.

Until now, institutions settling onchain have typically relied on bespoke smart contracts.

Solana DvP gives them a shared, open standard for atomic delivery-versus-payment, with input from J.P. Morgan on securities settlement practices
— Solana Foundation (@SolanaFndn) October 6, 2026

Under the system, the asset and payment move together within the same transaction. If either side cannot complete the transfer, the entire settlement fails.

Catherine Gu, head of product for digital assets at the Solana Foundation, said atomic settlement removes counterparty risk found in traditional markets.

JPMorgan advises Solana Foundation on settlement standards

Banks have relied on Delivery versus Payment structures for securities settlement for more than three decades. However, institutions moving assets onchain have often created custom smart contracts for individual transactions.

The Solana Foundation wants Solana DvP to replace that fragmented approach with a shared standard. The program uses an open-source MIT license and remains free for institutions to adopt.

Counterparties can also choose their preferred settlement agent. That agent could include a regulated bank, custodian, or another approved financial intermediary.

JPMorgan advised the foundation on settlement practices and requirements for institutional markets. The bank’s role focused particularly on how regulated tokenized assets operate.

Regulated issuers can require controls that standard crypto tokens do not offer. These controls can include emergency transfer pauses, delegated authority, and specific transfer conditions.

Solana DvP supports both SPL Token and Token-2022 standards. It also supports pausable tokens, permanent delegates and transfer hooks.

Those functions allow an issuer to freeze transfers or apply rules without disrupting the settlement process.

Rhodel D’Souza, JPMorgan’s head of markets digital assets, said shared atomic settlement infrastructure could help large institutions scale while reducing counterparty exposure.

The Solana Foundation said external security firms have audited the program. It also said the system can handle real funds.

Privacy functions remain under development. Those features would allow institutions to conceal sensitive trade information while still settling transactions on-chain.

Solana expands institutional tokenization push

Solana DvP arrives as more financial companies use Solana for tokenized securities and other real-world assets.

BlackRock launched a tokenized money market fund for stablecoin reserves in August. The product records ownership on Solana alongside Ethereum.

Kraken also uses Solana for its xStocks service. The platform gives overseas customers access to tokenized versions of U.S. equities.

JPMorgan has already participated in institutional transactions on Solana. In December 2025, the bank arranged a commercial paper transaction for Galaxy Digital that settled using USDC.

Other blockchain networks are competing for the same institutional settlement market.

JPMorgan’s Kinexys previously tested a cross-chain DvP transaction with Ondo Finance. ClearToken also operates DvP settlement through the Canton Network.

Those systems rely partly on permissioned infrastructure. Solana DvP instead operates on Solana’s public blockchain.

The Solana Foundation is now seeking design partners as it moves toward a broader production release.

The post Solana launches institutional settlement tool with JPMorgan input first appeared on Coinfea.

Onchain app revenue climbed to its highest monthly level of 2026 in September as activity strengthened across major blockchain ecosystems.

Solana led the market as trading applications, memecoins, and token launchpads attracted increased user spending. Robinhood Chain also recorded sharp growth, putting it ahead of several established networks during the month.

The figures highlight growing demand for blockchain applications that generate revenue directly from user activity.

Data from DefiLlama showed applications across 356 tracked chains generated $467.66 million in September. That represented an increase of about 27% from August.

September also marked the strongest month for on-chain app revenue since October 2025.

Solana applications generated $144.25 million, accounting for roughly 31% of total revenue. Robinhood Chain followed with $84.39 million after recording its strongest monthly performance.

Hyperliquid ranked third with $60.56 million, while Ethereum generated $55.43 million. Binance Smart Chain completed the top five with $38.71 million.

Solana revenue reaches eight-month high as Memecoin activity returns

DefiLlama calculates app revenue by measuring fees applications retain after distributing payments to other participants. Users typically pay fees when swapping tokens or opening leveraged positions through decentralized platforms.

Applications can distribute portions of those fees to liquidity providers, lenders or token creators. The amount retained by the application counts toward app revenue.

However, DefiLlama excludes revenue from stablecoin issuers and liquid staking protocols. The metric also excludes blockchain gas fees paid directly to networks and validators.

That approach provides another way to measure demand for onchain products. Revenue reflects how much users actually spend while interacting with applications.

By comparison, total value locked measures deposited capital rather than direct user spending. Wallet numbers can also include accounts that generate little economic activity.

Solana recorded $144.25 million in September revenue, its strongest result since January. However, the latest figure remained well below the network’s January 2025 peak.

Solana applications generated around $650 million that month during intense memecoin trading activity.

Memecoin trading and token launchpads again supported Solana’s September performance. StonkFun, which launched in late July, became a key contributor to that activity.

The platform allows token creators to pair launches with tokenized stocks, pre-IPO tokens or other cryptocurrencies instead of SOL.

StonkFun shifted its token launches to Raydium’s LaunchLab bonding curves in early September. The change routed additional launch activity through one of Solana’s largest decentralized trading venues.

Robinhood chain revenue jumps while Hyperliquid tops Ethereum

Robinhood Chain posted one of September’s strongest increases among tracked networks. Applications generated $84.39 million during the month, nearly three times August’s level.

The network had generated roughly $30 million during both July and August. September’s increase pushed Robinhood Chain into second place behind Solana.

It also moved ahead of Hyperliquid and Ethereum in monthly app revenue.

Hyperliquid generated $60.56 million, with perpetual futures trading providing most of its application revenue. The network finished slightly ahead of Ethereum during September.

Ethereum recorded $55.43 million despite remaining the largest blockchain by total value locked.

The gap shows how app revenue and locked capital can measure different parts of blockchain activity. Ethereum continues to hold more deposited value, while other networks generated higher application spending during September.

Binance Smart Chain generated $38.71 million and secured fifth place among the leading networks.

Overall, September’s $467.66 million total marked the strongest on-chain app revenue performance of 2026. Solana’s 31% share placed the network firmly at the center of the monthly increase.

The post Onchain App revenue hits 2026 high as Solana leads September first appeared on Coinfea.

Tokenized Equity Holders on Solana crossed 800,000 this month as wallet growth accelerated sharply across the network.

Blockworks data showed 801,439 tokenized stock holder addresses on September 12. That figure stood at 424,894 on September 1, representing an 88% increase in less than two weeks. The increase concentrated much of the month’s growth into a short eleven-day period.

Source: Blockworks

The pace marked a sharp change from earlier growth trends. The metric previously took more than a year to move above 300,000 addresses. By comparison, nearly 400,000 addresses were added during the first two weeks of September alone.

Solana launchpads expand tokenized stock distribution

Part of the increase came from launchpads that began integrating tokenized stocks into their trading mechanics. Pump.fun introduced custom pairs on September 9, allowing creators to launch coins priced in tokenized stocks instead of SOL.

Trading fees from those coins can also be distributed in the stock token rather than SOL. StockFun uses a similar structure, which can place tokenized equity exposure into wallets without a direct brokerage purchase.

Introducing Custom Pairs

Launch Pumpfun tokens paired with tokenized stocks, majors & more on Solana.

Launch with more variety, deeper liquidity & lower fees than anywhere else. pic.twitter.com/yQorNGMBrQ
— Pump.fun (@Pumpfun) September 9, 2026

A trader buying a memecoin can therefore receive fees linked to tokenized Nvidia shares or an S&P 500 token. That wallet then appears in the holder count, even though the equity exposure arrived indirectly through platform activity.

Tokenized equity supply trails rapid holder growth

Tokenized equity supply on Solana reached a record $684 million, rising about 47% over roughly three weeks. Holder growth moved faster, climbing 88% over eleven days.

The gap between supply and holder growth shows the two metrics expanded at different rates during the period.

Dividing the $684 million supply across 801,439 addresses produces an average holding of about $850. The figure is consistent with smaller balances created through fee distributions and speculative trading activity on launchpads.

However, address totals do not equal individual user totals. A single trader operating five wallets would be counted five times. Launchpad activity can also generate additional wallets, making the 800,000 figure more useful as a measure of distribution than unique people.

New tokenized equity listings support broader growth

Tokenized stock listings also expanded during the same period. Nike launched as a tokenized equity on September 8, adding another listed asset to the Solana ecosystem.

Galaxy Digital began allowing shareholders to tokenize company stock on Solana on September 3. That structure differs from third-party wrappers because the issuer itself is involved in the tokenization process.

Both developments contribute to the same overall holder count. The 801,439 addresses therefore include genuine onchain equity demand alongside balances created through launchpad fee routing.

The holder count captures addresses receiving tokenized equities through either listings or launchpad-related distributions.

Both channels remained active during September growth.

The available holder data does not separate those sources. As a result, the headline figure reflects both direct interest in tokenized equities and distribution effects created by trading platforms.

The post Tokenized Equity Holders on Solana Cross 800K as Adoption Accelerates first appeared on Coinfea.

Euro stablecoins reached $848.1 million in supply on September 7, according to Token Terminal data. The total represents growth of about 22.6% from $691.7 million recorded on January 1.

That increase added roughly $156 million in euro-denominated stablecoin supply during the first eight months of 2026.

Dollar stablecoins added about $159 million over the same period, rising from $298.54 billion to $298.699 billion.

The two segments therefore added similar absolute amounts despite the dollar market being roughly 350 times larger.

Dollar stablecoins still dominate overall supply with a 99.5% market share, while euro stablecoins account for 0.3%.

Euro Stablecoin Supply Remains Highly Concentrated

Supply within the euro stablecoin market remains concentrated among a small group of issuers. EURC controls 62.6% of the segment, while EURCV accounts for another 19.6%. Together, the two assets represent 82% of total euro stablecoin supply.

EURI holds a 4.5% share, while EURe represents 3.9%. The remaining 22 euro-denominated assets collectively account for less than 6% of supply.

EURCV is issued by SG-Forge, the digital asset subsidiary of Société Générale. SG-Forge holds electronic money institution approval from France’s ACPR under MiCA.

The asset now represents 19.6% of euro stablecoin supply, placing nearly one-fifth of the market with a licensed European bank subsidiary.

Ethereum and Solana Capture Most New Supply

Ethereum recorded the largest increase in euro stablecoin market capitalization this year. Supply on the network rose from $463.4 million to $588.7 million, an increase of about $125 million. Ethereum now holds 69.4% of the euro stablecoin market.

Solana increased from $94.9 million to $124.9 million and holds a 14.7% share. Combined, Ethereum and Solana added about $155 million, accounting for almost all euro stablecoin growth during the period.

Other networks showed mixed changes. Base declined from $73.9 million to $58.7 million. Gnosis increased to $22.3 million, while BNB Chain rose from $4.1 million to $10.4 million.

Dollar Stablecoin Supply Shows Little Net Growth

Dollar stablecoin supply began the year near $298.5 billion and reached about $298.7 billion by September 7.

The increase was approximately 0.05%, leaving the overall dollar-denominated market largely unchanged during the period.

By comparison, euro stablecoins expanded while the broader stablecoin category saw limited dollar growth.

MiCA has provided European banks and licensed electronic money institutions with a regulated route for issuance.

However, the article’s data shows euro stablecoin supply growth remains concentrated by issuer and blockchain.

Ethereum and Solana absorbed nearly all new supply, while EURC and EURCV continued to dominate the asset mix.

Despite rising issuance, euro pairs remain thin across DeFi lending pools and perpetual collateral markets. Europeans also already hold euros, limiting the offshore-style demand seen for synthetic dollars.

The post Euro Stablecoins Add $156 Million as Dollar Supply Barely Changes first appeared on Coinfea.

Solana Transaction V1 activated on testnet at epoch 1025 on September 1, completing the final rehearsal before the planned September 9 mainnet activation. Anza began local V1 testing August 24, and confirmed the mainnet date of August 29.

The upgrade raises Solana’s maximum serialized transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes, roughly 3.3 times larger. It lets cryptographic, multisig, confidential-transfer, and DeFi operations previously requiring several transactions fit within one native atomic transaction.

Larger Solana Transactions Expand DeFi Capacity

Solana Foundation materials say the format can accommodate zero-knowledge proofs, BLS signatures, large multisig setups, confidential transactions, and other constrained workloads. Combining them can reduce separate signature requirements and avoid waiting through a sequence of confirmations.

SIMD-0296 raises the transaction limit to 4,096 bytes. SIMD-0385 defines V1 messaging and moves transaction configuration into the message.

Less than a day after activation, Anza CEO Brennan Watt highlighted a large testnet transaction on X, writing, “ATTENTION: large transactions have hit the testnet.”

V1 also changes resource handling. Legacy and V0 use ComputeBudget instructions for priority fees and resource requests, while V1 places those settings inside transaction configurations.

Native Atomicity Reduces Reliance on Bundles

Developers used Jito bundles to bypass Solana’s size ceiling. Jito documentation says bundles can contain five transactions, processed sequentially on an all-or-nothing basis through its block engine, while competing through validator tips.

SIMD-0296 says bundles lack protocol-level atomicity equivalent to one native transaction. V1 carries Solana’s transaction-level guarantee, letting qualifying swap routes, proofs, and other multistep DeFi operations succeed or revert together.

V1 removes Address Lookup Tables used by V0 to shorten account addresses. Addresses instead sit inline, simplifying validator input while consuming more bytes in account-heavy applications. Solana’s 64-account maximum remains unchanged, leaving account-intensive applications constrained.

The rollout coincides with Agave 4.2. Cryptopolitan reported a cost-reduction plan targeting roughly 90% savings and processing reductions from 500 milliseconds to 200 milliseconds, benefiting stablecoin issuers, wallets, and payment systems.

Infrastructure Prepares for September 9 Launch

Galaxy’s Q2 2026 Solana report highlighted rising stablecoin, tokenized equity, and real-world asset activity. It said future utility depends increasingly on lending, collateralization, margin, and yield, beyond issuance or trading.
V1 remains opt-in, so Legacy and V0 transactions will continue working. The immediate issue is whether infrastructure reading V1 traffic is compatible.

Solana validators narrowly approved a proposal to double the network’s annual disinflation rate. It cleared the two-thirds supermajority by just 0.33 percentage points after Kraken flipped most of its stake from no to yes in the last hours. SGP-0002, Double Disinflation, passed with 67% support against 25.16% opposition and 7.84% abstentions, on a turnout of 60.7% of eligible stake.

Support was just above the 66.67% bar that the measure needed to pass. Both supply proposals were turned down by Kraken at 12:33 UTC on August 28. This put SGP-0002 below the supermajority with just less than three hours to go until the count stopped at 15:00 UTC for epoch 1024. Earlier that morning, support stood at 68.77%, with about 47.72% of eligible stake having voted. Kraken’s no vote knocked support down to about 65%. Then Kraken moved again. By the close, the proposal had the support of over 90% of the US exchange’s ~8.9 million SOL of voting stake.

Solana proposal narrowly passed by 0.33%

The plan, tied to SIMD-0550, would double the yearly disinflation rate on Solana from 15% to 30% but keep the network’s long-term inflation target at 1.5%. Under the old path, Solana would hit its 1.5% terminal rate in about 5.7 years, but now it will hit it in about 2.8 years. This is an estimated 18.9 million fewer SOL entering circulation over the next six years. The positive side is less dilution for SOL holders, but the downside is lower staking rewards for validators and delegators.

Figment, which had 17.1 million SOL in the finalized governance data, voted against the proposal, while Helius and Jupiter voted for it. Other prominent custodial stakers opposed at least SGP-0002, including Everstake and P2P Validator. Since custodial exchanges get paid when new SOL is issued, disinflation that happens faster means that the APY goes down faster and less money comes in. That logic is “mathematically nonsense,” said Mert Mumtaz, CEO of Helius and a co-author of the proposals, in an X post.

He said any advance in price from slower supply growth would be bigger than the saved yield. Solana Company, a Nasdaq-listed treasury company that trades under the symbol HSDT, said on August 21 that it supports the Solana Constitution but opposes both supply proposals. Reopening the inflation schedule introduces doubt into the multi-year models that institutions use, the firm said. SGP-0002 was one piece of Solana’s first binding governance process. The Solana Constitution, SGP-0001, passed with 85.97% support.

SGP-0003 failed with 53.90% support. The fee change under SIMD-0553 would have made transactions pay for the computing power they book, and burned part of what they paid. The rejection means SOL burns will remain around 650 SOL per day. This is in contrast to the 7,500 to 9,000 SOL, ~$800,000 a day at current prices, that the fee change would have generated. SOL was trading at about $104, down about 5.2% on the day, according to data from CoinGecko. Both rejected supply proposals may be resubmitted without any cooling-off period. But supporters would have to win over custodians who have now gone on the record with their objections.

The post Solana approves disinflation vote after Kraken reversal first appeared on Coinfea.

Avici has pledged full refunds to all 1,685 users affected by an August 28 breach that drained $500,859.22 from card balances.

The Solana-based neobank said its card-issuing partner Rain traced the incident to a flawed version of a Solana card contract used by Avici and “a small number of other programs” before being upgraded. The incident was followed by Ajna’s exploit one day later.

Avici Promises Full Repayment After Card Exploit

In an August 28 post on X, Avici said, “All affected card balances will be refunded in full.” The company confirmed that the compromised balances totaled $500,859.22 across 1,685 users.

DefiLlama’s hack database records the loss at $500,859 and classifies the incident as a withdrawal logic flaw in a Rust-based protocol. Early reports had estimated losses between $600,000 and more than $1 million.

The attacker reportedly invoked SubmitSignatures on Avici’s authorization program, then used AddCollateralAdmin on its collateral program before calling WithdrawCollateralAsset to remove funds. The attacking wallet later held about 10,005 SOL, worth roughly $1.07 million at the time, plus around $11,600 in stablecoins.

The AVICI token dropped about 39% in 24 hours to near $0.26 and briefly touched a new all-time low around $0.2189. That decline left the token more than 96% below its November 2025 peak of $7.61.

At the time of writing, AVICI had recovered to about $0.3093 but remained down more than 27.8% over 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap.

Ajna Reports Losses From Liquidation Accounting Manipulation

On August 29, on-chain monitoring firm Defimon Alerts reported that Ethereum lending protocol Ajna lost about $775,000 through liquidation accounting manipulation. The syrupUSDC pool alone accounted for $173,700 of the reported losses.

Defimon said it detected a prepared attack more than an hour before the first exploit transaction and warned Ajna through Discord, but said the protocol “failed to react.”

Ajna later confirmed it was investigating “unusual movements” and advised users to withdraw funds, repay loans, and stop interacting with the protocol. DefiLlama data showed Ajna’s total value locked at about $246,880, down 71.3% over the previous 30 days.

Audited Crypto Protocols Face Heavy Security Losses

CoinGecko’s report “2026’s State of Crypto Security” documented more than 245 incidents between January 2025 and July 2026, with losses totaling $3.63 billion. Among them, 147 involved audited protocols and represented 88.44% of all stolen capital.

The report found that most attacks targeted infrastructure, third-party services, governance, or human error rather than flaws covered by audits. Active on-chain insurance also fell to 20.2% of the market, declining from $163.2 million to $130.2 million. By August 2026, five of nine on-chain insurance protocols had reportedly become inactive or shifted their business models.

The post Avici Refunds Users After Solana Breach as Ajna Suffers Ethereum Exploit first appeared on Coinfea.

Avici, a neobank built on the Solana blockchain, is investigating a security breach that emptied user funds on August 28. Anything from $600,000 to more than $1 million may have been lost, per initial reports. Avici’s AVICI token lost roughly 39% of its value in a single day following the hack.

Avici, a Solana-based neobank that offers banking-style services like spendable card balances backed by crypto, confirmed that there was an “issue affecting card balance withdrawals,” but has not stated how much was lost or if users will be repaid. AVICI, the native token of the neobank, crashed following news of the security breach. The breach was discovered through a post from @SolanaFloor on X.

AVICI suffers drastic crash after news of exploit

According to reports, the hacker first ran a function called SubmitSignatures on Avici’s authorization program, then they called AddCollateralAdmin on Avici’s collateral program, and finally they ran WithdrawCollateralAsset to take the funds out. The attacker’s wallet held about 10,005 SOL, worth around $1.07 million at the time, plus about $11,600 in stablecoins. A blockchain analyst named STACC created a real-time tracker that found 125 different user accounts were affected.

The amounts taken ranged from about $9 USDC to over $26,000 USDT per account. Hackers allegedly drained somewhere between $600,000 and over $1 million altogether from user accounts. Avici said on X that it is monitoring the situation, adding that it is working with partners toward a fix and would share more when it has details. Following the news, the AVICI token dropped by about 39% over 24 hours to around $0.2175.

During the day, the price moved between a low of $0.2189 and a high of $0.4459. AVICI peaked at $7.61 on November 26, 2025, meaning the token now sits about 96% below its record high. CoinMarketCap lists a market capitalization near $3.39 million, a circulating supply of roughly 12.9 million tokens, and about 12,400 holders. In the same week as the Avici drain, The Sandbox moved to repay bridge-exploit victims 1:1 after a theft that Cryptopolitan reported cost holders about $697,000.

Meanwhile, MANTRA published a report regarding a roughly $3.6 million exploit, but it did not include its recovery plan for the funds. Days earlier, Cryptopolitan reported that the lending protocol Moonwell was attacked, and as much as $9 million was stolen in a price-manipulation exploit.

The post Avici token slides after Solana neobank suffers exploit first appeared on Coinfea.
