Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal launched a stablecoin donation campaign to support Nepal’s Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The program gives donors all over the world a direct on-chain route to assist the government’s recovery effort after an August 26 glacier collapse led to the death of over 1,250 people.

Nailwal announced in an X post on September 4, calling stablecoins the best tool for disbursing aid quickly. At the time of writing, the website, nepalrelief.org, had raised $168,176 in total. Donations will not be deposited directly into a government wallet. Instead, they will be received on-chain and converted to USDC before being pooled at a public relief wallet on Ethereum or Polygon. The next and final step will be to send the funds to Nepal’s official government fund. Scott DeLisi will lead Engage Nepal in collecting and accounting for the funds. Engage Nepal is a US-registered 501(c)(3), and DeLisi is a former US Ambassador to Nepal.

Polygon co-founder fingers stablecoin as a good tool during aids

Polygon is not alone in this initiative. Open Money Stack will be in charge of bridging, routing, and conversion, while Cross River Bank ensures that fiat is moved to Nepal, and Coinme will supply payment infrastructure and crypto cash. The campaign has received a pledge of $100,000 from Blockchain For Impact. There are two ways to show support. Donors can make anonymous donations with any token on any chain, or donors based in the US can use Coinme to verify their identity to ensure the donation is next to their name.

Those who would rather avoid the interface can make use of the single USDC address published on the site; it works on both Ethereum and Polygon. The extent of the destruction by the flood is still being tallied. On August 26, a glacier above the Trishuli River gave way, causing ice, mud, and rock to fall about 80 kilometers down the valley through Nuwakot, Dhading, and Rasuwa. With seven districts affected, there are 41 bridges destroyed, 42 kilometers of road severely damaged, and six hydropower plants lost.

The United Nations estimates a higher number of casualties. A UN statement on September 4, 2026, said the glacier collapse blocked the Nepal-Tibet border, killing over 1,250 individuals, with thousands missing. The UN puts the estimated number of people affected at 84,270 or 19,284 households, and aims to raise $49.6 million in cash to support those affected. Nailwal’s fund is not the first crypto-sector commitment to the disaster in Nepal. Ripple made a pledge of $300,000 to assist relief groups in the region. It didn’t say whether it will be paying in XRP, fiat, or its RLUSD stablecoin.

The Solana Foundation and NFT marketplace Mallow put nine advertising slots up for auction and raised $166,946.50 in USDC, and Mallow routed the sum to Engage Nepal to be delivered into the same government fund. This is not a first in the crypto space. Crypto donations in 2024 surpassed the $1 billion mark in 2024 and became the go-to for emergency aid after the earthquake that occurred in Myanmar and Thailand in March 2025. Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao also donated 1,000 BNB, about $600,000, to the efforts in Myanmar and Thailand.

Blockchain has a lot of supporters due to its reputation for being a faster alternative when banking infrastructure fails. However, Nailwal is yet to release a schedule for converting the pooled crypto, nor has he mentioned when each batch will appear in the government fund. The final step is still dependent on conversion services and conventional banks. Every deposit, conversion, and outgoing batch will be easily verifiable on-chain.

The post Polygon co-founder begins crypto donation for Nepal disaster relief first appeared on Coinfea.

Binance has finalized the integration of Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin on the XRP Ledger network, a development confirmed by the stablecoin issuer’s Managing Director for the MENA region. The largest exchange by trading volume has officially opened deposits on XRPL.

In addition, the exchange said it will prepare withdrawals once liquidity conditions are met. In its public statement, Binance confirmed that the integration enables users to transfer RLUSD directly through the Ripple-made blockchain network. Binance also introduced new trading support for the token, including RLUSD paired with USDT, XRP, and other listed XRPL assets. The trading platform launched a zero-fee promotion on selected RLUSD pairs to encourage liquidity and trading activity.

Binance introduces new RLUSD pairs with XRPL integration

XRPL on Binance could bring more use cases for RLUSD on the exchange’s ecosystem, which currently includes loans and conversions. RLUSD is now available for trading and yield programs on Binance across two blockchain networks: Ethereum and XRPL. This increases the number of trading pairs and fee incentives for both XRP and the stablecoin.

Aside from that, it could also boost the exchange’s liquidity. Moreover, the XRP Ledger processes and settles transactions on the network in seconds and costs fractions of a cent as compared to Ethereum. Ripple’s blockchain ledger is also available in US-based centralized exchanges, Coinbase, Kraken, and Robinhood, although the latter bars US residents from trading XRP due to regulatory constraints.

The company is still planning to simultaneously extend RLUSD beyond the XRP Ledger through deployments on Ethereum layer-2 networks, Optimism, Coinbase’s Base, Kraken’s Ink, and Uniswap’s Unichain. The expansion is supported by Wormhole’s Native Token Transfers standard, which enables RLUSD to move directly between blockchains, bypassing its wrapped or synthetic versions.

“Stablecoins are the gateway to DeFi and institutional adoption. By launching RLUSD, the first US Trust Regulated stablecoin on these L2 networks, we are setting the definitive standard where compliance and on-chain efficiency converge,” said Jack McDonald, senior vice president of stablecoin at Ripple.

According to data from market aggregator Coingecko, RLUSD’s market capitalization has climbed to $1.52 billion in 13 months, a 2,730% uptick. The token is backed by US dollar deposits and Treasury bills, and operates under a trust charter regulated by the New York Department of Financial Services. This comes as Ripple executives continue to form partnerships with several entities worldwide to aid in the stablecoin’s expansion.

The post Binance completes RLUSD integration on XRP Ledger first appeared on Coinfea.

Ripple has shut down news of the company going public amid several rumors making the rounds after its $500 million raise. Ripple President Monica Long cited recent success stories of the company, including its financial stability, noting the company plans to expand privately through major acquisitions and new product development.

In a recent interview, the executive stated that the company currently has “no plan, no timeline” for going public, adding that it is well-positioned to continue its growth without tapping public markets. The decision ends months of speculation in the crypto and financial press about Ripple potentially listing its shares on a stock exchange. After her comments, reports from trusted sources showed that her statement was made after the company had actually raised around $500 million as of November 2025, which put Ripple’s valuation around $40 billion at the time.

Ripple pushes growth with $500 million raise and acquisitions

Several reporters contacted Long for comments regarding this fundraising effort, hoping to gain more context. She was asked to explain certain details, such as measures of investor protections that permit individuals to effectively sell shares back to Ripple at a guaranteed price or preferential treatments, particularly in significant events like bankruptcy or a company sale.

Long noted that the company had adopted a positive and favourable deal structure, but still failed to provide enough explanation for the question raised. Analysts conducted research and found that 2025 was a significant year for Ripple, as it brought major growth to the firm. According to their findings, this growth mainly resulted from the fintech’s four key acquisitions.

These included the acquisitions of Hidden Road, a global multi-asset prime broker; Rail, a platform for stablecoin payments; GTreasury, a provider of treasury management systems; and Palisade, a firm specializing in digital asset wallets and custody services. The transactions carried out at this moment totaled approximately $4 billion, contributing to Ripple’s long-standing goal of becoming a full-service provider of enterprise digital asset infrastructure.

By last November, the payments of the fintech company had soared sharply to over $95 billion in total volume. Seeing how popular the company had grown, Ripple Prime, the newly rebranded multi-asset prime brokerage resulting from Ripple’s acquisition of Hidden Road, diversified its services to include collateralized lending and institutional products connected to XRP.

Notably, RLUSD, a stablecoin launched by Ripple, has been playing an important role in both sectors. Long said, “Our entire company strategy revolves around creating products. We aim to provide the connections that traditional finance needs to make blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and other tokenized assets truly useful and relevant in everyday life.”

The post Ripple shuts down IPO rumors amid $500M raise first appeared on Coinfea.

Ripple’s RLUSD has also experienced rapid growth, and the company’s market cap has reached $1.3 billion.

This growth is largely attributed to the multi-chain release of Ripple on the XRP ledger and Ethereum, according to the analysts who track trends in stablecoins.

Multi-chain rollout increases the use of RLUSD

According to analysts, RLUSD’s expansion across multiple networks has helped it to consolidate its presence in the stablecoin market. Commentator Wendy O wrote that Ripple made a wise decision by depositing the asset on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum. She continued to suggest that significant crypto initiatives should adopt similar designs as the sector will move towards multi-chain integration.

This opinion was supported after Token Terminal announced that RLUSD had passed the $1.2 billion threshold and could generate additional profits. This was reiterated by crypto lawyer Bill Morgan, who cautioned that in the future, platforms that do not adopt multi-chain structures might be constrained in their operations.

Partnerships help in increasing market demand

The recent Ripple collaboration with Gemini helped propel RLUSD to another all-time high in market value. Those familiar with the alliance indicated that the partnership allowed RLUSD card settlements. They further added that this feature demonstrates that its multi-chain structure can open up additional payment opportunities.

Morgan observed that those projects with a single network run the risk of falling behind as tokenized assets are opened to broader markets. His comments followed an online commentary in which he agreed with Wendy O and warned that ruling out a multi-chain future would not help in the long-term progress.

Ripple’s shift to Ethereum, intended to introduce RLUSD to the network, enabled greater liquidity and significant DeFi initiatives. Analysts also claimed that the XRP Ledger continues to provide rapid processing and low cost. These features have aided greater adoption and have contributed to the recent growth in the RLUSD market. This has also led to RLUSD being approved in other regions such as Abu Dhabi. This is a pointer to increased acceptance in controlled financial conditions.

Ripple CTO wants to be directly involved in XRPL infrastructure

Ripple CTO, David Schwartz, has been more involved in developing the technical side of the XRP Ledger. He confirmed that he developed an XRPL hub to monitor network activity and address recurring infrastructure problems. Schwartz claimed that it has not been a layer he has worked with closely in recent years, and he wants to encourage direct improvements now. He also made observations that validator delays are problematic. He thinks that reducing these delays and achieving overall reliability can be done by a stable megahub.

The new MPT standard on the XRP Ledger should also facilitate future tokenization activities and improve the protocol. According to Schwartz, the hub will help him correct errors using actual data and make new upgrades.

The speed in RLUSD is a sign of increased belief in multi-chain strategies. The future of Ripple in the stablecoin market remains dependent on its current technical efforts and its international growth and development.

The post Ripple’s RLUSD Market Cap Nears 1.3 Billion After Multi-Chain Expansion first appeared on Coinfea.

Ripple Labs has been approved by the Singapore central bank to expand its payment services in the country. This move comes as the company adapts a major effort to attract more institutional clients by enhancing its business and offerings via several acquisitions.

This news was revealed after reports claimed that the firm’s Singapore branch, Ripple Markets APAC, had obtained permission from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to expand its regulated payment activities. However, the approval comes with specific requirements. One of the requirements is that Ripple will need to enhance its regulated payment activities under its Major Payment Institution (MPI) license.

Ripple set to expand institutional services in Singapore

In a statement, Monica Long, President of Ripple, mentioned that the firm acknowledges Singapore’s innovative approach. She also expressed their belief that the expanded license enhances their ability to continue investing in the country and to establish the necessary infrastructure that financial institutions need to transfer their money effectively, swiftly, and securely.

According to several sources, Ripple has been using its native digital payment tokens to carry out international transactions. These tokens include stablecoin RLUSD and XRP. These services were designed to function as both an on-ramp and an off-ramp, helping banks and businesses with collection, holding, swapping, and payouts, according to Ripple.

Meanwhile, reports revealed that Ripple has made several key acquisitions to enhance its business and services targeting institutions. For instance, Ripple bought Palisade, a crypto firm that offers both wallet-as-a-service technology and operates as a licensed digital asset custodian in France. Regarding its MPI license, the company was awarded this license in 2023.

The MPI license enables it to provide its users in Singapore with regulated digital payment token services. When sources checked the MAS website on Monday of this week, they noticed that the website only lists digital payment token services that are licensed under Ripple. With this token, one can purchase or sell digital payment tokens or provide users with a platform that allows them to trade these tokens.

Since 2017, Ripple has been actively operating in Singapore. When asked to comment on the country, the firm described Singapore as a significant area for its global operations. Fiona Murray, currently serving as Ripple’s vice president and managing director for the Asia Pacific, weighed in on the topic of discussion. Murray stated that the country is thriving due to on-chain activity.

She noted that it has also been increasing significantly in the area, with a rise of around 70% compared to the previous year. This activity positions Singapore as a major player in this surge. With this wider range of payment activities, we can better assist the institutions driving this growth by providing a variety of regulated payment services, which will make payments faster and more efficient for our customers,” she added.

The post Ripple expands licensed payment services in Singapore first appeared on Coinfea.

According to Ripple, the endorsement of RLUSD would boost its volumes and activity. “Regulatory compliance and trust are two non-negotiables when it comes to institutional finance. Growing adoption in core financial uses like collateral and payments is why RLUSD is quickly becoming a go-to USD stablecoin for major institutions,” Senior Vice President of Stablecoins at Ripple, Jack McDonald, noted.

The recognition from Abu Dhabi follows the approval of RLUSD by the Dubai Financial Services Authority for use within the Dubai International Financial Centre in June. Reece Merrick, Ripple’s Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa, called the UAE a trendsetter in digital asset policy while reiterating the importance of RLUSD’s regulatory alignment with the jurisdiction’s law.

“The DFSA’s approval of RLUSD is yet another step forward for Ripple’s operations in the region, and we’re seeing huge interest from businesses of all sizes for cross-border payments and digital asset custody solutions…We’re looking forward to working with our regional partners, customers, and regulators to supercharge that growth,” Merrick said.

Arvind Ramamurthy, Chief Market Development Officer at ADGM, said Abu Dhabi’s regulatory environment supports innovation, and that the emirate is committed to “shaping the next generation of global financial services.” In addition, Ripple said the FSRA’s decision will ease RLUSD’s integration into enterprise-focused use cases, including its cross-border payment products, and support capital markets functionality provided through Ripple Prime.

The post RLUSD cleared for trade by Abu Dhabi’s FSRA first appeared on Coinfea.

XRPL EVM, the sidechain that was designed to bring Ethereum smart contract compatibility to the XRP Ledger ecosystem, has posted a poor performance days after it launched with only $100K TVL.

According to a recent data point posted by DeFiLlama, the sidechain currently hosts three DEXs and one launchpad, and the total value sitting across them is about $100,818. Another underwhelming data shows that the combined 24-hour trading volume is around $3,238, with most of the funds coming from Moai Finance. The other listed chains are yet to record any trading activity at the time the data was taken.

XRPL EVM sidechain records a poor start

Things are presently not looking good for the project that was launched with bold promises. During its launch on June 30, the project positioned itself in the new era of cross-chain DeFi. It aimed to include Solidity developers in its quest to build, port, and deploy EVM dApps while “tapping into the deep liquidity that XRPL provides and a 12+ years of operational stability.”

According to developer report data, XRPL EVM has just 168 developers, compared to about 8,448 that Ethereum boasts. The difference is a staggering 98%, with the number translating to its tiny TVL and near-zero trading activity, and the main reason why it has failed to gain real traction.

Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD has also been underperforming, with the token yet to cross above the $1 billion mark while sitting at $642 million market cap. About 10.25% of the entire figure is on the XRPL Ledger, representing about $65.81 million. The figure is only 0.024% of the $271 billion stablecoin market. For context, USDT holds $164 billion and USD holds around $65 billion.

Ripple has been making a big push, rubbing shoulders with politicians. The company recently bought stablecoin firm Rail for $200 million, and its CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, also testified before the United States Senate Banking Committee to call for clear rules on digital assets and stablecoins.

In January, Garlinghouse and CLO Stuart Alderoty had a private dinner with President-elect Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Garlinghouse called it “a great dinner” and “a strong start to 2025.” A few months later, in March, Garlinghouse attended Trump’s crypto summit at the White House. He praised the president’s vision of a “multichain world” and welcomed XRP’s inclusion in a proposed U.S. crypto reserve.

Ripple’s lobbying seemed to pay off when Congress passed the GENIUS Act, the first U.S. stablecoin law, which Trump signed on July 18. Alderoty was at the White House for the signing, calling it “the most crypto-forward Administration we’ve ever seen.” The momentum continued with a major win in August when the SEC ended its long-running lawsuit against Ripple, with the company paying a $125 million fine.

The post XRPL EVM posts poor performance, sees $100K in TVL first appeared on Coinfea.

On-chain investigator ZachXBT has hit out at Circle for the misuse of their tokens by North Korean IT operatives. He claimed that the criminals have used the stablecoin to funnel tens of millions of dollars without any intervention from Circle. In addition, he also ripped into RLUSD over its user base.

This comes at a time USDC stablecoin issuer recently applied to establish a national trust bank in the United States in order to oversee its reserve. Circle had a successful initial public offering (IPO) in June, as the company was valued at around $18 billion.

ZachXBT rips into Ripple over RLUSD adoption

In a series of posts on X, ZachXBT accused Circle of turning a blind eye to illicit flows, calling it “a crime super cycle where no one cares.” The On-chain investigator stated that USDC is being used by North Korean IT workers to receive payments and claimed that recent related transactions reached tens of millions of dollars.

ZachXBT criticized the stablecoin issuer for claiming to be “compliant” while taking no action to freeze or monitor the funds. Amid the controversy, one XRP supporter suggested switching to Ripple’s new stablecoin RLUSD as a potentially safer alternative. ZachXBT did not hold back, stating: “I trust Circle, Paxos, or Tether infinitely more than Ripple.” He mentioned that, unlike Circle or Tether, with at least a base of organic users, Ripple has a history of “misrepresenting paid partnerships to make it appear like adoption.”

The issue ties into broader geopolitical concerns as North Korea’s Lazarus Group, a state-sponsored hacking unit, has been linked to numerous high-profile crypto heists. As crypto adoption grows, G7 countries have increasingly prioritized coordinated action against North Korean cyber operations. The debate unfolds when Circle’s CRCL stock faces mounting selling pressure. It is down 28% over the past week. CRCL traded for $181.29 in the last session.

Meanwhile, the stablecoin market has been on the rise, smashing the $263 billion market cap and a 24-hour trading volume of over $62.4 billion. Tether’s USDT is leading the tally while holding a market cap of more than $157 billion. Circle’s USDC stands second in the tally with a cap of over $61 billion. Ripple’s RLUSD can be seen in the tally as it is still in its initial phase of booming.

RLUSD holds a market cap of around $455 million, which looks like a tiny number in front of the leaders. However, its native coin, XRP, has gained much in recent times due to a partial win in the lawsuit against the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). XRP price remained up by 3% over the past 30 days. XRP is trading at an average price of $2.20 at the press time. Its 24-hour trading volume is up by 116% to stand at $4.12 billion.

The post ZachXBT hits out at Ripple and Circle first appeared on Coinfea.

Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin has received regulatory approval for use within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) has authorized the digital asset, allowing Ripple and other DFSA-licensed entities to operate with RLUSD in the DIFC. The stablecoin is fully backed 1:1 with US dollars and supported by high-quality liquid assets. Ripple emphasized its commitment to transparency through features such as segregated reserves, external audits, and defined redemption processes.

Stablecoin Designed for Institutional Adoption

RLUSD is intended for enterprise use and is not aimed at retail customers. Ripple’s Senior Vice President of Stablecoins, Jack McDonald, explained that the regulatory approval aligns with the company’s mission to offer a stablecoin based on trust, transparency, and practical use. He noted that RLUSD’s design prioritizes regulatory compliance and is structured to drive institutional blockchain applications, especially in cross-border payments.

Ripple believes that RLUSD will play a key role in addressing inefficiencies in global transactions, focusing on reducing cost, increasing speed, and improving reliability for enterprise users.

Integration with Ripple’s Payment Infrastructure

The DFSA’s approval allows Ripple to embed RLUSD directly into its licensed payment solutions. This integration will enable the stablecoin to function within Ripple’s global network, combining digital asset technology with compliance-driven financial tools. The design of RLUSD distinguishes it from exchange-based stablecoins by targeting businesses that require robust and consistent payment systems.

Ripple aims to improve the infrastructure of international transactions, using RLUSD to offer a more efficient alternative to traditional banking rails. This development gives Ripple a competitive edge in delivering secure and scalable payment solutions.

Expansion Across the DIFC and Regional Growth

RLUSD’s approval also permits its use by any other DFSA-regulated company within the DIFC. With nearly 7,000 businesses operating in the zone at the end of 2024, Ripple sees a large opportunity for adoption. The company reported a 55 percent increase in regional stablecoin activity over the past year. Reece Merrick, Ripple’s Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa, highlighted the growing importance of the area for crypto innovation.

Ripple has already confirmed early partnerships with Zand Bank and Mamo to implement RLUSD into their operations. In addition, Ripple has entered a new agreement with Ctrl Alt to assist the Dubai Land Department in launching a Real Estate Tokenization Project, which will place property title deeds directly onto the XRP Ledger.

Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin is now available on Kraken, marking another major milestone for the digital asset.

Trading began at 16:00 UTC on Wednesday, and the token has already recorded over $10 billion in cumulative trading volume. This rapid adoption highlights strong market interest and increasing demand for RLUSD.

Kraken lists RLUSD alongside other major exchanges

Kraken confirmed the listing in an official statement, expressing enthusiasm for adding RLUSD to its platform. The exchange detailed that RLUSD is fully backed by cash and cash equivalents, making it redeemable 1:1 for US dollars. The stablecoin is designed for various financial applications, including payments, global settlements, on/off ramping, and trading collateral.

Kraken users can deposit RLUSD by accessing the funding tab on their accounts and selecting a supported network. However, the token is not yet available through Kraken’s mobile application, and the instant Buy feature remains inactive until liquidity requirements are met.

The listing on Kraken expands RLUSD’s availability, joining other platforms such as Archax, Bitso, Bitstamp, B2C2, Bullish, Coinmena, Flowdesk, Independent Reserve, JST Digital, Keyrock, LMAX Digital, Mercado Bitcoin, Moonpay, Revolut, Uphold, and Zero Hash.

Ripple integrates RLUSD into ripple payments

Beyond the exchange listing, Ripple has integrated RLUSD into its enterprise-focused payments solution, Ripple Payments. This platform supports over 90 payout markets and connects banks, financial institutions, and payment service providers.

Jack McDonald, Senior Vice President of stablecoins at Ripple and CEO of Standard Custody & Trust Co., emphasized that adding RLUSD enhances cross-border transactions by making them faster and more cost-efficient. The company aims to expand the stablecoin’s utility across institutional and business transactions.

BKK Forex and iSend currently use RLUSD for their cross-border payment processes. Ripple aims to gain additional corporate clients as the stablecoin demonstrates its complete suitability for financial operations at enterprise scale. Ripple joined forces with Chainlink to create RLUSD data feeds, which enable the token to reach retail consumers.

Market growth and increased adoption drive RLUSD expansion

The market capitalization of RLUSD reached $250 million after it established itself in only three months since its inception at $200 million. The monthly transaction volume at RLUSD grew by 55% during the previous month, reaching $720 million after starting from $466 million. The stablecoin’s market adoption speeds up because it operates on multiple exchanges with exponential growth in financial institutional and non-governmental organizational use. The trading volume of the stablecoin continues to rise because institutions are increasing their demand while market confidence grows stronger.

The post Ripple’s RLUSD Launches on Kraken, Exceeds $10 Billion in Trading Volume first appeared on Coinfea.
